God's Heart for You {my new book & a fun giveaway!}

*subscribers click here if you can't see the video*

Ever since Eden, the enemy has twisted what God longs to speak into us. He tempted Eve with a single question: "Did God really say...?" And he hasn't stopped doing the same to the rest of God's daughters since.

Did God really say...you're enough?

Did God really say...you're loved?

An interesting phrase follows, "the woman became convinced." And everything changes forever.

I've listened to those lies at times as well. Maybe you too? As I shared last week, a few years ago when the lies in my heart were especially loud, it seemed God prompted me to get up early in the morning and write. I'm not a morning person {I once put chocolate on the alarm clock to bribe myself to get up. I ate it and went back to bed!}. Yet that gentle insistence continued.

Each morning at my keyboard it seemed another word of truth spilled into my soul.

Loved

Cherished

Beautiful

At first it seemed scandalous. Could God really see me this way? But the more I dug into Scripture, the more I realized it was true. I became convinced.

Forty days, forty words.

I ended the journey thinking what had been revealed was just for my heart. But as a counselor, life coach and friend I began to realize that I wasn't the only one who struggled with the lies. Again it seemed God tugged and insisted, find a way to share this with all My daughters.

A publisher agreed with the prompting and God's Heart for You: Embracing Your True Worth as a Woman came into being.  And it didn't stop there. Over the next few months I worked with DaySpring and Blessings Unlimited to create everyday reminders of those truths too--ways for women to touch, hold and share them.

We began to ask ourselves, "What if every woman could truly answer, 'In God's heart I am...' "? That question led us to the video at the beginning of this post {subscribers, click here if you can't see the video}:

I thought after writing this book, after facing these lies, that I would never struggle with them again. But I've realized as long as we're in this world, we're also in a battle for our hearts. We need to remind ourselves and each other the truth every day, in every way that we can.

We're loved--gloriously, beautifully, beyond what we can even imagine. God wants us to take hold of who we really are because He knows that if we do we'll be unstoppable.

Will you join me?

It's your turn, your time.

What's your word?
